Periodontal Disease is also called gum disease. There are a host of symptoms for this condition:
Bad breath (halitosis), bleeding gums, red and swollen gums, pain (especially to hot or cold), and receding gums.
An effective periodontal treatment must deal with the root case in order to effectively alleviate the symptoms of gum disease.
